Morpheus8 is a fractional device with programmable penetration depth and energy delivery for treatment of fine lines & wrinkles, acne scars, and general skin tone. There are 4 heads for different parts of the face and body which range from 12-40 gold coated pins which penetrate the subdermal tissue, coagulating the fat and contracting connective tissue. Simultaneously, directional RF energy generates bulk sub-necrotic heating in the dermis.

Treatment
We advise a consultation prior to treatment if you are not an existing skin patient at Symmetria. Where you will receive an in-depth skin analysis. This gives us an opportunity to address your concerns, assess issue(s) to be treated, and answer any questions which you may have and we will advise your suitability. Cost of your consultation will be taken off the total of your Morpheus8 treatment.
On the day of your treatment, a topical cream is applied 45 minutes prior to your treatment to help reduce any discomfort that may occur. Once numb, the Morpheus8 handpiece will be passed over, accompanied by a warm sensation, administering RF energy deep into the skin and tissue, as tiny microneedles create tiny pricks on the surface. Treatment time varies depending on treatment area size and can last between 20 minutes to an hour.
Downtime
Immediately following treatment skin will feel very hot with a red appearance, this can last several hours. Some patients experience inflammation at the needle entry points presenting as small lumps on the skin. Bruising can sometimes be expected, especially on areas with thin tissue for example, eyes and neck. For 24 hours we advise no sun exposure, exercise, make up, heat or products to the treatment area. Depending on area, skin type, concern, and skin regime we will advise how to look after your skin and maintain optimal results.
Sessions
To achieve optimal results, we advise a course of 3 treatments at 4-6 week intervals.
