PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY (PRP)
PRP is an established injection therapy to enhance tissue regeneration. It’s a treatment which uses your own blood platelets to stimulate new cell and hair growth.
PROCEDURE
A small sample of blood is taken from the patient, similar to a routine blood sample. This sample is then placed in a centrifuge machine, where it is spun at a high speed. This process allows for the PRP (platelet rich plasma) to be separated and removed using a sterile syringe. This is then re-injected into the patient’s skin or scalp which has been cleansed and numbed using a topical anaesthetic.
TREATMENT
The whole procedure only involves needle injections to the desired areas, requires virtually no healing time and also reduces possible side effects to a minimum. For optimal results, we recommend 3 treatments at one monthly intervals.
DOWNTIME
The treated area is likely to be red and hot for up to 24 hours following treatment, you may also experience some bruising.
We recommend to avoid exercise, make up, shampoos, alcohol and anti inflammatory medicines for 24 hours post treatment.
